We Might Have Liftoff

We had a play rehearsals today, and I am feeling rather dead. On the inside. And the out. Actually all over. Being a director and one of the lead roles was not one of the best ideas I’ve had. It’s actually really hard to direct something while acting on stage… Wait never mind, that’s not why you’re reading this. What is it I’m meant to be talking abou… – Ah yes, project. Focus.

I didn’t actually do any research because my legs refused to walk up the stairs to my computer. (I know, it’s a hard life we live in). So I had to resort to lying on my bed and just thinking about my project. That wasn’t too hard.

I started thinking about the balloon. From what I remembered from my research, there were a few different options to go with. The balloons are made by a company called Pawan, which is a European company and the balloons are ordered in bulk by local companies here in Cape Town, although from what I remember, they were limited to a 200g, 400g, 800g or 1000g.

I’m not too sure what the different weights mean or even what the weights refer to, but as far as I can tell, the heavier it is the higher it goes. (That doesn’t make much sense as usually heavy things go downwards…). Right so the 1000g it is then.

Later in the evening I managed to convince my legs to walk up the stairs so that I could at least do something. I looked up the information on the balloons and it turns out that the weights were actually how much gas it can take. A 1000g is heavier, which means more gas, which means higher altitude (lightbulb switches on).

I still haven’t phoned Rian, I feel like this is becoming a project in itself. I will try and remember to do it tomorrow.
